Towamensing Township, PA (June 22, 2023) – An 18-year-old is being investigated for driving under the influence after he was involved in a multi-vehicle accident with injuries in Carbon County, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, according to state police.
On June 20 at about 8:00 p.m., ten victims, including children ages 6, 10, and 3, and adults ages 28, 30, and 43, were hurt in an accident on Trachsville Hill Road in Towamensing Township, as reported by the Pennsylvania State Police.
New Jersey State Police troopers later apprehended the 18-year-old motorist and suspected at-fault driver, who officers say was impaired by drugs or alcohol.
EMTs were also reportedly dispatched, but the number of victims transported to the hospital remains unknown.
Investigation into the incident, conducted by Pennsylvania State Police, is still underway. Officers did not provide additional information at this time.
