Washington Township, NJ (March 2, 2022) – Serious injuries were reported as the result of a pedestrian crash that took place in Washington Township on Tuesday night, March 1.
According to Washington Township officials, the accident happened around 9:38 p.m. on Black Horse Pike in the area of Stagecoach Road. A pedestrian was allegedly crossing the street in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle. It is not known yet if the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was seriously injured in the accident. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
