West Norriton, PA (August 22, 2022) – Around 6:30 p.m., West Norriton Fire Department crews were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident.
According to Montco CAD, the accident took place on Route 363 between the intersections of Trooper Road and Van Buren Avenue, in the northbound and southbound directions.
In this case, two vehicles collided, causing a collision with entrapment. Both automobiles had to be towed away from the scene due to the extensive damage they sustained.
In addition, three people were reported to need medical transportation in the initial reports. There was reportedly one person trapped inside one of the automobiles, and rescuers had to use a spreader and cutting tools to free them.
At this time, it is unclear if or not any citations or charges will be issued in connection with the accident, while a comprehensive investigation is still ongoing.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured and their loved ones.
Serious Crashes Throughout Pennsylvania
More than a quarter of all catastrophic auto accidents in Pennsylvania are the result of fender benders, which are defined as a collision between two vehicles that occur when one or both vehicles are approaching from behind. Fender benders, or rear-end accidents, may seem minor in the moment, and they are surely usually less severe than head-on collisions, but they can cause substantial pain and impairment in the days after the accident.
The force of a rear-end collision with a tractor-trailer may be sufficient to cause significant damage or even death.
What’s more, distracted drivers who are talking on the phone, texting, fiddling with the GPS settings, or rummaging through their vehicle’s trunk are all potential causes of this type of accident. However, speeding vehicles, drivers who fail to check their blind spots before pulling out of parking spaces or driveways, drivers who follow too closely, drivers who abruptly stop for red lights or stop signs, and drivers who are navigating in inclement weather are the most common causes of rear-end collisions.
If you were critically injured in an accident that wasn’t your fault, the person who hit you ought to pay for your medical care as well as any lost wages that you incurred as a result of the accident.
Insurance companies will frequently go to tremendous lengths to avoid paying for services such as long-term care or income replacement in the case of a disability. This is true even while the companies are willing to pay for certain critical medical procedures. However, it is quite possible that they will not pay for everything that must be done in terms of medical care and that they will only provide assistance to a limited degree.
