Lower Macungie Township, PA (September 1, 2023) – On Thursday, a driver in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, slammed into a gas station, starting a fire and causing an unknown number of injuries.
Officers in Whitemarsh Township say the incident occurred on Germantown Pike close to Center Avenue. The crash apparently took place at a Liberty station just before 11:30 a.m., per witnesses and local authorities.
EMTs were on the scene, though the total number of injured victims is unknown.
The police have not yet determined what led to the driver’s collision and have not said whether any other vehicles were involved. An investigation remains active and ongoing at this time, and witnesses were asked to get in touch with the Whitemarsh Township Police Department to provide further information.
