Williamstown, NJ (June 26, 2023) – The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office reports that a man was killed late Thursday night after his motorcycle collided with a car pulling out of a driveway.
On the evening of June 22nd, at 10:00 p.m., the accident occurred on Lake Avenue, close to Florence Boulevard.
Monroe Township Police said that a 36-year-old man was driving east on Lake Avenue when a vehicle driven by a 27-year-old Williamstown woman was pulling out of a property and collided with the motorcyclist.
The police report states that the motorcyclist attempted to brake to avoid the vehicle before skidding for approximately 80 feet and crashing into the front of the SUV.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver sustained minor injuries.
As of Monday morning, no charges had been filed, though Williamstown-area officers are continuing their investigation in the interim.
