Buena, NJ (January 10, 2022) – Around 6:49 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, January 8, a car accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Buena.
According to the Collings Lakes Fire Department, the accident happened at 806 Weymouth Road. A driver was traveling in the area when they were involved in a car accident, causing their vehicle to drive off the side of the road and into the tree line. The vehicle then caught on fire, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two fire engines were present at the scene, as well as several utility trucks. One person inside the vehicle off the side of the road was traumatically injured. They were rushed to the hospital by medical helicopter.
The roadway was blocked in the area until approximately 7:45 p.m. until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
