Chester, PA (February 24, 2022) – At 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, February 23, one person was killed in a fatal rollover accident in Chester.
Delaware County Police confirmed that the accident happened at 700 Harrah’s Boulevard in front of Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they forcefully collided with one another due to reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles rolled over at the scene. The other vehicle struck a pole in the area.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Fire crews had to rip the roof off of one of the vehicles to get the victims inside. Three people were hurt in the accident. One person, who has not yet been identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.
