Chesterbrook, PA (May 3, 2022) – One person suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle collision that took place on a Chesterbrook highway on Tuesday evening, May 3.
Chester County officials confirmed that the collision occurred after 6 p.m. on the Pennsylvania Turnpike around the area of mile marker 322 and Valley Forge Road. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control due to unknown reasons. The vehicles collided forcefully with each other as a result.
Rescue crews and paramedics were dispatched to the scene to assist. One person, who has not yet been identified, had to be extricated from their vehicle by fire crews. The victim was rushed to the hospital by medical helicopter, though their condition is not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, the area was blocked in both directions. Police had the scene cleared before 8 p.m.
