Collegeville, PA (February 15, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a major highway in Collegeville on Tuesday evening, February 15.
According to local officials, the accident occurred at 5:15 p.m. in the westbound lanes of PA-422 around the area of Egypt Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area all the way back to Trooper Road. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
