Elk, NJ (January 30, 2022) – Around 1:40 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, January 30, a multi-vehicle crash took place on a highway in Elk.
According to Gloucester County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of NJ-55 around the area of Buck Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of the highway when one or more lost control, causing them to collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
