Franklin, NJ (March 8, 2022) – At 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, March 8, one person was killed in a fatal rollover accident in Franklin.
According to local officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of NJ-55 around the area of mile marker 38. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly collided with each other. As a result of the accident, one of the vehicles overturned in the median. The vehicle was left with extensive damages.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of severe trauma. It is not known if anyone else was injured in the accident.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in multiple lanes for some time. This led to delays until police were able to fully clear the scene.
