Gilbertsville, PA (February 14, 2022) – A car accident with injuries took place on a major roadway in Gilbertsville on Monday evening, February 14.
Gilbertsville officials confirmed that the accident happened around 6:40 p.m. in the northbound lanes of PA-100 around the area of PA-73 (East Philadelphia Avenue). Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
