Gloucester Township, NJ (June 3, 2023) – On Friday afternoon, June 2, a motorcyclist was killed after his bike was struck by an SUV on the Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township, according to the police.
The motorcycle and the SUV crashed near the junction of Brewster Avenue and Black Horse Pike at around 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon. According to the police report, the SUV collided with the motorcyclist while trying to make a left turn onto Black Horse Pike.
When police arrived, they saw the victim lying in the middle of the road. Police claimed they performed CPR on the man and were joined by medical teams from nearby hospitals and the Blackwood Fire Department, though he was ultimately declared deceased at the scene.
Investigators say the motorcyclist tried to avoid the crash but could not stop in time. Police said the SUV driver, who sustained minor injuries but declined medical transfer, was treated at the site.
The collision is still being investigated, and no charges have been filed. Anyone who saw the wreck was asked to call the Gloucester Township Police Department.
We want to extend our deepest condolences to the deceased man’s family.
