Williams Township, PA (August 10, 2026) – A Phillipsburg man died Sunday evening, August 9, after his motorcycle and a car collided on South Delaware Drive in Northampton County.
The wreck happened around 7 p.m. in the 200 block of South Delaware Drive. Pennsylvania State Police said the motorcycle was headed south while the car traveled north when the rider lost control for reasons still unknown and was thrown from the bike.
Troopers said the motorcycle then slid into the northbound lane, where it was struck by the oncoming car. Both vehicles caught fire following the impact.
The 48-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to a hospital with suspected injuries. South Delaware Drive was closed for a time as crews worked to clear the roadway.
State police continue to investigate the wreck.
