Philadelphia, PA (September 11, 2026) – Police are searching for a driver who struck two women in separate hit-and-run crashes in Center City Thursday evening, September 10.
Investigators said the driver, in a dark-colored Mazda SUV, struck a 59-year-old pedestrian crossing at 16th and Arch streets around 7 p.m. before fleeing. Moments later, the same vehicle T-boned a Kia at 17th and Arch streets, then continued south on 17th Street.
The pedestrian suffered a broken leg and was taken to Jefferson Hospital. The 29-year-old driver of the Kia was also taken to Jefferson Hospital with leg and hip pain.
The search for the driver is ongoing.
