Lincoln University, PA (March 9, 2022) – Two troopers were hurt in a rollover crash that took place in Lincoln University on Tuesday morning, March 8.
Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that the accident happened at 9:19 a.m. at the intersection of Baltimore Pike and University Road. Two troopers were in a cruiser responding to the report of a burglary in progress. The driver of the cruiser suddenly lost control of the vehicle due to road conditions, causing the collision. The vehicle struck a natural gas line and rolled over, leading to severe damages.
Several responders, including paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help the troopers. Both of the victims in the vehicle were taken to ChristianaCare Hospital. They were treated for unknown injuries but are expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area for some time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
