Millville, NJ (January 18, 2022) – A man was killed in a fatal U-turn accident that happened on a roadway in Millville on Thursday, January 13.
Cumberland County officials confirmed that the accident happened around 5 a.m. on Wade Boulevard. A 66-year-old man was making a U-turn in his pickup truck in the area when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle in the area. The second vehicle was driven by a 48-year-old local driver who remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The 66-year-old man was rushed to Inspira Medical Center in Vineland after complaints of pain but was pronounced dead there due to his injuries. The other driver was injured but declined medical attention and is expected to recover.
The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes for some time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area for a period of time.
