New Castle, PA (March 19, 2022) – A multi-vehicle collision with injuries took place on a major highway in the New Castle area on Saturday evening, March 19.
According to local officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-495 around the area of Exit 4 to Edgemoor Road and Highway 3 at 10:30 p.m. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.
