Nottingham, PA (January 19, 2022) – A teen was struck and injured in a pedestrian accident that took place on Wednesday morning, January 19.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened at 700 East Christine Road in Chester County. A 15-year-old boy walked onto the road as his bus was pulling up to his stop with red lights activated. A vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction did not see the bus in time and struck the child. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The 15-year-old boy was the only person hurt in the collision. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment, though he is expected to recover.
The roadway was entirely blocked in the area for some time as police worked to clear the scene.
