Perkasie, PA (January 28, 2022) – Around 6:14 p.m. on Thursday evening, January 27, a man was struck and injured in a Perkasie pedestrian accident.
Perkasie Police confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of East Walnut Street and Main Street. A male pedestrian was walking in the area when he attempted to cross the intersection. As he was doing so, he was suddenly struck by a pickup truck that was traveling in the area. The driver of the vehicle allegedly remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was injured in the crash. He was rushed to Grand View Hospital for treatment.
Due to the severity of the collision, the intersection was blocked for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
