Philadelphia, PA (April 24, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a highway in Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon, April 24.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened around 2:27 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-76 around the area of mile marker 332.5. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing them to collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area for some time.
