Philadelphia, PA (February 5, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash on a bridge in Philadelphia on Friday night, February 4.
According to Philadelphia officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of the Platt Bridge around the area of 26th Street and Penrose Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes on the bridge when one or more vehicles lost control, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained extensive damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, all lanes of traffic were blocked on the bridge in the area for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
