Car Accidents in Pennsylvania
Tens of thousands of victims sustain injuries as a result of car accidents in the state of Pennsylvania every year. Though these accidents can happen virtually anywhere, intersections are some of the most common places. It is estimated that over 50% of injury and fatality crashes in the U.S. happen at or near intersections. The truth is, these accidents can almost always be prevented. However, they continue to occur when drivers are not paying close attention to the roads around them. If you have been hurt in a car accident at an intersection, you have a variety of options. It is important that you seek the help of an attorney who has handled these cases in the past.
Intersection-related accident claims can be especially tricky. This is due to the fact that it is not always easy to prove who was at fault for a crash. Did the other driver have the right-of-way? Did you have a red light? With the help of an experienced Philadelphia car accident attorney, you can prove who is at fault for your accident. There could be several factors that you need to show, including the following:
- The driver owed a duty of care
- The driver breached their duty of care
- The breach led to your accident
- You sustained injuries and other damages due to the accident
If you have been hurt in a car accident and know that another party is to blame, you should speak with a Philadelphia personal injury attorney that you can rely on.
