Philadelphia, PA (March 4, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place on a major roadway in Philadelphia on Friday afternoon, March 4.
According to Philadelphia officials, the accident happened around 3:55 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Route 1 close to the area of Wissahickon Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling on the highway in the area when they collided with one another due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the accident. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the northbound lanes for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
