Philadelphia, PA (April 10, 2024) – A firefighter was rushed to the hospital on Monday morning after being hit by an alleged drunk driver in the West Philadelphia area.
One fireman was arriving at the site of an incident as emergency personnel responded to an accident on the 4700 block of Osage Avenue. The firefighter was then hit by a suspected intoxicated motorist, a 52-year-old man, according to officials. He was rushed to the hospital but is expected to recover.
The motorist received medical attention at a nearby hospital for his injuries after colliding with five other vehicles and a fire engine.
