Philadelphia, PA (February 15, 2022) – At 6:39 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, February 15, injuries stemmed from an auto accident in Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened in the evening hours in the eastbound lanes of the Platt Bridge. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the eastbound lanes when they lost control, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result of the collision.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was completely blocked in the area for some time, which led to extensive delays. Police urged those in the area to use Girard Point Bridge as an alternate route.
