Philadelphia, PA (April 23, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious car accident that took place on a highway in Philadelphia on Saturday morning, April 23.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened around 11:03 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95 around the area of exit 6, PA-320. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing them to collide with each other. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
