Philadelphia, PA (January 17, 2022) – Police responded to the scene of a car accident with injuries at an intersection in Philadelphia on Monday afternoon, January 17.
According to police, the accident happened at 2:36 p.m. at the intersection of Cheltenham Avenue and Mayland Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area around Washington Lane when they entered the intersection at the same time. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were seriously injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
One or more lanes of traffic were blocked in the area of the intersection for some time following the accident.
