Philadelphia, PA (April 27, 2022) – Before 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening, April 27, a car accident with injuries took place on a major Philadelphia highway.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Commodore Barry Bridge. Several vehicles were traveling in the southbound lanes when one or more lost control, causing them to become involved in a chain-reaction collision. The involved vehicles sustained severe damage as a result of the accident.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The southbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so that traffic could resume as normal.
