Philadelphia, PA (February 27, 2022) – A 20-year-old man died after he was struck by two cars while crossing the road in Northeast Philadelphia early Sunday morning, February 27.
The incident happened around 2:15 a.m. in the 6800 block of Oxford Avenue near Knorr Street. The man was reportedly hit by the driver of a 2013 white Ford Taurus at the intersection before being hit by a second vehicle, a 2019 Dodge Charger, which stayed at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Taurus initially fled but later surrendered to police.
There was no immediate word on if any charges have been filed, and the victim has not been identified. The investigation is ongoing at this time, however.
