Philadelphia, PA (March 2, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision that took place on a highway in Philadelphia on Wednesday evening, March 2.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-76 around the area of exit 342, Girard Avenue. It was reported that several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays for a period of time.
