Philadelphia, PA (March 10, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision that took place on a highway in Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon, March 9.
According to local officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Cottman Avenue. Several vehicles were allegedly traveling in the area when one or more lost control on rainy road conditions. The driver slammed into several other vehicles, causing a chain-reaction collision. One vehicle turned around in traffic and the others sustained severe damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
