Philadelphia, PA (April 19, 2022) – Around 8:33 a.m. on Tuesday morning, April 19, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries took place on a Philadelphia highway.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of US-1 around the area of I-76 and Wissahickon Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more collided forcefully with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles sustained heavy damage as a result of the collision.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, one or more lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
