Philadelphia, PA (April 3, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision that took place on a highway in Philadelphia on Sunday evening, April 3.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened around 5 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-676 around the area of Broad Street and 22nd Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided in the westbound lanes of traffic due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt in the collision. The parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the collision, several lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
