Philadelphia, PA (February 15, 2022) – Around 6:20 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, February 15, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of the Ben Franklin Bridge around the area of North 5th Street. Several vehicles were traveling on the bridge in the area when one or more lost control, causing a chain-reaction collision. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including Philadelphia paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Three left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
