Philadelphia, PA (April 21, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious multi-vehicle crash that took place on a highway in Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon, April 21.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened around 4:20 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-76 around the area of exit 340, Lincoln Drive and Kelly Drive. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes of traffic when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
