Philadelphia, PA (March 29, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision that took place on a highway near Bear on Tuesday, March 29.
According to local officials, the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Route 72 near the exits to Highway 79 and Red Lion Road. Several motorists were allegedly traveling in the area when one driver slammed into several other vehicles, causing a chain-reaction collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
