Philadelphia, PA (March 26, 2023) – Several victims suffered injuries in a multiple-driver collision that took place just outside of Upper Chichester on Sunday evening, March 26.
In the northbound lanes of Interstate 95, close to Chichester Avenue, an accident happened at about 7:00 p.m., as reported by the Philadelphia Police Department.
There was a backup of traffic for approximately one mile before Exit 1 after a collision between two automobiles on the right side of the road. Neither driver was seriously injured, but both cars were taken away after being seen in news footage pulled over to the side of the road.
Philadelphia Fire Department and local emergency medical services also arrived to aid the scene. It has been reported that two or three people sustained minor to moderate injuries and were sent to local hospitals, but no information on their names or current statuses has been made public by the authorities.
Authorities spent about an hour at the site of the collision conducting their on-scene investigation, causing significant delays in traffic. Philadelphia law enforcement has launched an official investigation into what caused the collision.
Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their loved ones.
