Philadelphia, PA (March 30, 2024) – After an accident in the greater Fairmount Park region, two police officers and at least one other person from Philadelphia were sent to the hospital.
At around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, authorities responded to the area near Belmont and South Georges Hill Drive after reports of a collision involving a police cruiser. The police cruiser and another car apparently crashed close to the intersection, though the events leading up to the wreck were unclear, according to officials.
It’s not known how many people were injured in the second vehicle, but EMTs were spotted at the scene and appeared to transport multiple persons to the hospital. Investigators are still reviewing the details surrounding the crash in the meantime. Witnesses were also asked to get in touch with the Philadelphia Police Department if they had additional information about the accident or those involved.
