Robbinsville, NJ (February 5, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash that took place in Robbinsville on Friday night, February 4.
According to Robbinsville officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike around the area of mile marker 64. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they were involved in a chain-reaction collision due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person was trapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated by fire crews. A total of three people were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in several southbound lanes for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
