Southampton, NJ (March 11, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal multi-vehicle collision that took place on a highway in Southampton on Friday morning, March 11.
According to Burlington County officials, the accident happened on NJ-206 around the area of Red Lion Circle. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one lost control, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic for some time as police worked to clear the scene.
