Upper Darby, PA (March 1, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place at an intersection in Upper Darby on Tuesday afternoon, March 1.
According to local officials, the accident happened around 2:55 p.m. at the intersection of West Chester Pike and South State Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their current conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the crash, a large portion of the roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time.
