Fatal Car Accidents in New Jersey
Grieving family members typically experience both emotional and financial devastation when their loved one dies in a car accident caused by the negligence of another individual. Although nothing can bring your family member back, the civil justice system can hold the negligent party accountable for the financial impact of the loss and the emotional loss of no longer having that person in your life. Liability in a catastrophic accident can be intricate to establish.
If your loved one was up to 50% at fault in New Jersey, your family members may still file an unlawful death lawsuit, provided that they were not more than 50% at fault. Your recovery will be diminished by the percentage of guilt that is attributed to your loved one.
