Wayne, PA (January 22, 2022) – On Friday afternoon, January 21, a two-vehicle collision with injuries took place on a highway in Wayne.
Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that the accident happened at 4:36 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-76 around the area of Gulph Mills. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when the smaller passenger vehicle slammed into the back of the larger work van. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the collision.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims involved in the accident were injured and rushed to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the eastbound lanes of traffic.
