Philadelphia, PA (January 9, 2022) – Around 7:21 p.m. on the night of Sunday, January 9, a car crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Police confirmed that the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 around the area of exit 19, the Walt Whitman Bridge. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including Philadelphia paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
