Philadelphia, PA (May 5, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious car accident at an intersection in Philadelphia on Wednesday morning, May 4.
Philadelphia Police confirmed that the accident happened around 8:50 a.m. at the intersection of US-1 and Fourth Street near Seventh Street. At least two vehicles were traveling in the area and entered the intersection at the same time, which caused them to forcefully collide. Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the collision.
Calls for assistance were made immediately following the collision. Paramedics and Philadelphia Fire crews were immediately called to the scene to help. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for several hours as police attempted to fully clear the scene.
