Philadelphia, PA (May 6, 2022) – One person was hurt in a car accident that took place on a major roadway in Philadelphia on Friday morning, May 6.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened around 12:45 a.m. at 4700 North Broad Street in the Logan section of the city. Two vehicles were allegedly traveling in the area when they became involved in a forceful collision due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles both sustained heavy damage as a result of the accident.
Several local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person inside one of the involved vehicles was trapped in their vehicle and had to be removed by fire crews. They were then transported to the hospital with injuries. They are currently in stable condition.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
