Bristol Twp, PA (October 15, 2026) – Two drivers were injured in a crash at Route 413 and Rittenhouse Road in Bristol Township around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14.
Initial reports indicate that a pickup truck making a left turn collided with a passenger car traveling straight through the intersection. Both drivers were local residents.
Both drivers said they planned to seek medical treatment on their own. Fire crews were called to clean up fluids leaking from the vehicles.
The vehicles blocked traffic until crews moved them out of the way. Police officers directed motorists through the intersection, although some drivers appeared confused and attempted to pass through the blocked roadway.
Authorities are investigating what led to the collision.
Our hearts are with both injured drivers as they recover.
How Do Car Accident Claims Work in Bristol Township, PA?
After a crash in Bristol Township, you may be able to recover compensation for medical bills, lost income, vehicle repairs, and pain and suffering. The amount you receive depends on your injuries, financial losses, insurance coverage, and who was responsible for the crash.
To support your claim, keep photographs, police reports, available video footage, medical records, and proof of lost income. These documents can help show how the crash happened and how it has affected your life.
While you receive medical treatment, your first-party medical benefits may cover eligible expenses regardless of who caused the crash, up to your policy limits. These benefits can help with medical costs while you pursue compensation from the responsible driver.
Beyond your medical expenses, you may also recover lost wages, reduced earning capacity, and compensation for pain and suffering. If your injuries require ongoing care, your claim may include future treatment costs. However, Pennsylvania’s limited-tort rules may restrict certain claims for pain and suffering.
If you were partly responsible for the crash, you may still recover compensation as long as your share of fault does not exceed 50%. Your compensation is reduced by your percentage of fault. If you are more than 50% responsible, you generally cannot recover damages.
Under Pennsylvania law, you generally have two years from the date of the crash to file a personal injury lawsuit, although some exceptions may apply. Missing this deadline could prevent you from recovering compensation through the courts.
During the claims process, a Philadelphia car accident lawyer can review your insurance coverage, assess your losses, and negotiate with the insurer. If a fair settlement cannot be reached, an attorney can also represent you in court.
